In 2018, after the West Virginia educators showed how to get a serious strike done, I was asked to make a presentation in NYC at New York University, to talk about the power of strikes. In that discussion, I invoked John Steuben, and, his ground breaking manual, written almost 100 years ago, on how to run and win a strike. The book, really better understood as a manual, is called, simply, Strike Strategy. No one in the room had heard of it, which knocked me sideways. Then I was asked to write this book review, which I really enjoyed doing—a clarifying process that everything old is new again!
